THE ENSEMBLE

«Classics-Art» Soloists Ensemble was founded in 2000. It has united young musicians from the best Moscow orchestras, soloists which were always wishing to realize themselves in chamber music.

Since its foundation «Classics-Art» performed many concerts in different Moscow chamber halls, took part in festivals, performed together with many famous Russian and foreign musicians. The ensemble prepared more than hundred chamber programs of different kinds, much of them turned into a concert series united by a common concept.

The ensemble has toured in many countries, such as Finland, Israil, Italy, Spain, Poland, Eesti, Latvia, Ukraine ets.

During his tours, the musicians of the ensemble often give master classes for young musicians.

Since 2007 ensemble performs an annual concert series «Moscow Divertissement», which in fact turned into a full-fledged chamber festival. In «Moscow Divertissement» concerts wind instruments appear in different genres and stiles, in combination with strings, piano, harp, guitar, vocal and even choral music.

“Classics-Art” ensemble perform almost all known chamber music for wind instruments from the Middle Ages to the present day, including avant-garde and jazz compositions. The ensemble affected more than ten premiere performances of the works earlier never performed in Russia.

The sound of wind instruments possesses unusual opportunities, its beauty and purity can be compared only to a human voice. One of main raisons d'être of the ensemble, as its participants see it, is to develop and promote the art of wind playing, to open for listeners a great abundance of musical colours and new expressive means.
